Kelsey is the Communications & Lay Ministry Director for the Cameron UMC. A Cameron native herself, Kelsey went on to become a collegiate cheerleader and received her bachelor's degree from Washburn University. Kelsey and her husband Jonathan are now raising their own family, back in her hometown! Kelsey has one daughter, Layla and two step sons, Hunter & Henry.

Kelsey is a girl scout troop leader for her daughter's troop of 1st grade Daisy Scouts, a Children's Mercy Ambassador, a member of Hearts for Ronald McDonald House Charities, a member of the Cameron Optimist Club and she is involved in several other philanthropic volunteer opportunities. She is a co-owner of Making Life Matter, LLC (authors of "A Kid's Guide To Random Acts Of Kindness") and she runs her daughter’s online storefront Campaign, Layla’s Heart & Hope. Kelsey is also a Compassion International co-sponsor for 9 year-old Gabriela, who lives in Colombia and is currently in 3rd grade.

When Kelsey is not working she enjoys cooking, crafting (thankful for Pinterest), church, attending Royals games, but most of all, spending time with her husband, kids and family. They enjoy being outdoors, fishing, traveling, game nights and spending time together. Kelsey absolutely loves being a dance mom! She and Jonathan enjoy attending their daughter’s competitive Company dance events and their son’s sporting events. They are huge football fans. GO CHIEFS!

Kelsey is thrilled to be a part of our team and feels her passions and experiences have all led to her calling with the Cameron UMC!
