The heart of our corporate life at CUMC is worship.

Jesus Christ has called his church together first and foremost for the purpose of magnifying God's name in praise and worship. In fact, Jesus' first great commandment is for us to love God with heart, mind, soul and strength.

We recognize that all people worship something, whether job, possessions, status or the like. We aim to focus our lives on the worship of God.

Because different persons have different tastes for varied spiritual experiences, we currently offer two worship experiences on Sunday mornings. Our 9:00 a.m. service is traditional, complete with liturgy and pipe organ. The Porch is a contemporary service at 10:45 a.m.

Jesus' great commission was to make disciples of all nations. Telling a world in desperate need of peace and grace is the primary way the church perpetuates itself and spread the gospel of Christ in the world.

As United Methodists, we understand that the world is our parish. Consequently, we feel compelled to proclaim and to invite.
